Fit Guide

Every measurement we publish is a garment measurement — the actual piece, lying flat. Not body measurements, not vanity sizing. That makes finding your size a two-minute job, because your favourite clothes already know your answer.

The three-step method

  1. Pick a garment you love the fit of — same category as what you're buying (pants for pants, jacket for jacket).
  2. Lay it flat and measure the key points. Pants: waist straight across the top, front rise, inseam. Tops and jackets: chest armpit-to-armpit, shoulder seam to seam, sleeve, back length.
  3. Compare your numbers to our chart for the piece you want — all size charts are here, and each product page carries its own chart in the sizing dropdown. Match the numbers, not the size label.

How our range runs

We cut XS–4XL in tops and outerwear and waists 28–52 in pants, as standard, from the same Toronto production runs — same fabric, same construction, same price at every size. If you've been burned by "extended sizing" that's an afterthought, this isn't that.

Between sizes?

Heavier fabrics like our 10 oz duck canvas break in and give slightly with wear; sweats and knits stay closer to their flat measurement. When your numbers land between two sizes on a rigid fabric, most people are happier one size up. When in doubt, don't gamble — ask us.

On-body fit notes

We're photographing every core style on our own crew across the size range — real measurements, real bodies, "wears size X at 6'1"" — rolling out on product pages soon.

Ask a human

Send your flat measurements (or your favourite garment's) to cs@rosarugosa.ca and someone at the factory will size you personally, usually within a business day. Fit questions are our favourite kind.
